Happy Vlog Day!um… I mean 4th of July.So this is it!
The day we said we’d launch or Vlogs “for real”.

I’m still fixing some things on the site, but got enough done that I can at least present to you this:

The teaser I never launched.

Wow Day one and we already have a “long lost episode”!

Dave and I are still working.

With luck I’ll get an official 4th of July Vlog up yet today!

Great Vlog…very professional!

WE WANT MORE!!!

Okay, this is something I’ve been meaning to ask, and I’ll ask both you and Dave on this site.

When you’re doing public filming like that…even in the grocery store on Dave’s first vlog. Don’t you get some strange stares?

For instance, if I’m on the “L” in Chicago and some guy is holding a camera up and we’re the only two guys on the train…more than likely, I’m going to be weirded out.

Same with you and your cop car shot. What if the cop saw you filming, wouldn’t he think that was weird?

Maybe I’m just nuts, but I’m curious to know if you were, for lack of a better term, “nervous” when filming?

Interesting you should ask this, Kevin. I was just last night talking into the camera about how my inhibitions of filming in public were creating a real problem for me.

The grocery store stuff was pretty easy, as there were two of us involved and it was a small camera. The cop did in fact see us filming but he shrugged it off - assuming we were more interested in the Indy500 stuff that was near by than he was.

But last night I had a real tough time getting over myself.

I was trying to do a “what is your neighborhood like at 2am” vlog. I brought out my ‘real’ vid cam for this one as I wanted some higher quality video for editing purposes.

The shoot went pretty poorly. I was too self-conscious. I kept turning the camera off and walking past what I should have been shooting.

Picture if you will: me at 2am, exhausted - a total bum - walking down the sidewalk filled with all ‘the beautiful people’ out and about and in line for this club or that club. And I’m the weirdo slob who is holding a video camera … and talking to it …

I didn’t get what I should have on film. I’m gonna have to delay that vlog even longer and redo it.

I’ve been watching other vloggers for a while now, and you can see this evolution in each of them as this inhibition fades. But it’s still quite strong in me.

I think it’s ALOT easier when you’re with another person. Others will accept that you are filming you and your friends night out … rather than them.

The above post was me. Razz
